What type of vehicles do you inspect?

We inspect almost every type of motor vehicle, to include commercial vehicles, motorcycles, taxis, motorhomes, caravans, trailers and more, however we do not undertake engine failure reports.

How quickly are the vehicle inspections carried out?

Where possible, all vehicles are inspected within 48 hours of an instruction, with the completed report following 24 hours thereafter. With desktop reports, the turnaround is much faster as no physical inspection is required.

What locations do you cover?

Desktop image reports have no restriction on location, however; we only provide physical inspections in certain areas of the UK. Please contact us for more information.

Do I need to attend at the inspection?

No, however it is always helps if the keys are available.

Can your reports be used in Court?

Yes, all are reports are CPR Part 35 Compliant (Civil Procedure Rules) and can be used as expert reports in Court. In general, all expert costs can be recovered from the Defendant.

How long will the inspection take?

Standard accident damage inspections take about 20 minutes. However, specialist inspections can take considerably longer.

Can you help with 'non fault' claims?

Yes. This is when you are trying to claim from somebody else's insurance company. In other words, you are insured third party and have been involved in an accident which is not your fault. If you have fully comprehensive insurance, your insurance company will handle the claim for you.

We are able to provide a swift, comprehensive and reliable nationwide service to Accident Management Companies, CHO’s, Solicitors, Taxi Firms, Insurance Companies, Loss Adjusters, General Public and even the ITV.

What is the most common type of inspection you complete?

Our core inspection service is Accident Damage Inspections. You will find that this is generally the case with most consultant motor engineers. We complete approximately 75 accident damage inspections each week.

How long has Davies & Gray been established?

Anthony Clifton-Davies established the business in 1999 and to-date the company has completed approximately 60,000 engineer’s reports.
